AGMA, the Association of Agents and Managers in Creative Industries of Finland, was founded 10 years ago, the exact date being September 19th 2009. We'll get back to the history in more detail during the celebrations later this fall, but it is worth noting that 13 of our 23 founding members are still in the role of an intermediary in creative industries, many still remaining our members as well.
AGMA has a wide representation of intermediaries in the creative sector: agents, managers, curators and producers. At the moment we have 37 members, biggest branches of business among them being entertainment -such as animation and music- literature and design. The joint turnover of our member companies is 40 million euros and they employ 170 professionals. The growth of this group has been tremendous during the last 2-3 years and new, internationally experienced and ambitious companies are emerging in Finland all the time.
We'll celebrate throughout the whole autumn by providing our members and partners with workshops and get-togethers, most important among them the jubilee seminar and gala dinner on November 28th. We'll party the whole day and will serve our prestigious audience with inspirational content and great company. More information on the jubilee plans to be published in early autumn.
