We are quite busy in the AGMA office this spring, in positive and varied ways. Our 3 person team is fully employed with member acquisition, event production and decorating the new cosy office in Kalasatama area.
We are preparing a licensing seminar, Lisenssi=Bisnes, on April 23rd. Some delicacies on the menu: Jason Drangel, a super lawyer in IPR-issues, having worked with Rovio, big Hollywood and Bollywood studios and toy companies, Antonella Ceraso, the licensing director of Winx Club, and Petri Pesonen, the man who bought Finlayson with his partners and launched the daring Tom of Finland –textile collection.
Licensing is a central theme of development. The latest estimate of the value of patents, copyrights and different agreements around IP’s bring 2.7 billion euros to Finland in export figures.
But AGMA is not only about IPR, we also represent tangible products, content, service & experience production through our members. Station Finland event format has served these members, the latest taking place in Frankfurt last year, and we are developing the format further with our partners in order to create volume in sales and export activities. Check out our latest project Nordic Buzz, which is taking design companies to Nordic networks and European buyers.
AGMA is a cross-industry organization and keen to take part in actions and discussions in developing creatives industries. This spring will be yet again one turning point, since the Finnish governement will take a new form and the focus areas in Finnish economy will be re-negotiated.
AGMA is representing agents and managers in all creative industries and development of viability of the whole cluster is the key to our agents’ wellbeing too, obviously. Our success lies in the success of our clients, the companies and talents in the ctreative sector.
