AGMA brings Nordic Brand Licensing Market back to London!


In the autumn of 2018, Nordic Brand Licensing Market brought 10 companies to the Brand Licensing Europe expo where, over three days, our booth attracted hundreds of visitors and was the setting of over 60 meetings.

This year, Nordic Brand Licensing Market returns to the BLE expo on 1.-3. October, and to elsewhere in London in the form of side events, including company visits. Our booth at the expo can accommodate up to 10 companies, and it will be designed taking into account the wishes of participating companies.

DEAFMETAL™ is a hearing aid jewelry brand for hard of hearing people to personalize their hearing aids. This globally awarded innovation makes hearing aids to look like jewelry.

There are 480 million hearing impaired people in the world, and hearing problems are on the rise. WHO predicts that by 2050, there will be 900 million hearing impaired. DEAFMETAL™ is erasing the hearing aid stigma and shame experienced by many device users. It also saves public and private money by keeping hearing aids safe from falling, getting lost or broken.

DEAFMETAL™ was created by Finnish fashion designer Jenni Ahtiainen, who lost her own hearing. She has made her career by designing accessories for Marilyn Manson, Snoop Dogg and Bono. Now, she is changing the attitude and lifestyle of people hard of hearing with DEAFMETAL™.

KREAM Helsinki is a team of multi-skilled professionals, working as agents and managers for brand cultivation. We provide services in the field of licensing and brand building. We are interested in potential licensees for our current brands but also looking for new interesting brands to add to our portfolio.


Onni-poika, one of the brands represented, is a picture book series for small children by illustrator and author Sanna Pelliccioni. The ongoing series, already 14 books and branded products, including a soft toy, has a strong background in everyday life. Onni's colourful and warm character has captured the hearts of families also outside Finland, including in China.

Maarit Kontiainen is a Finnish artist from Helsinki with her lifelong fascination for nature and animals.

Her whimsical and nordic wintery art springs from her childhood memories and atmosphere from rural countryside and forests.

She graduated as a painter in 1987, and has had several art exhibitions since 1984 in Finland and abroad (Japan, India). She has also made study trips in many parts of Asia and Africa.

She has stockists (art prints, greeting cards, cushion covers etc.) in Finland,  UK, USA, Germany and Japan.

Pertti's Choice (Pertin Valinta) is a cultural production space for outsider art and culture, created by a famous punkband Pertti Kurikka's Nameday PKN is running a gallery, shop and agency for marginalized music, arts and ethically produced quality goods. Pertti's Choice is the first social enterprise in Finland founded by disabled people.

We collaborate with a network of organizations, artists and other creative professionals who share our passion for diversity, inclusion and art activism. The first Nordic Brand Licensing Market took place in Helsinki in 2016 and hosted Nordic brands and licensing partners from around the world. It was a great success, and international licensing professionals have been inquiring about a new occasion to meet Nordic companies and evaluate the business potential of our corner of the world ever since. In April 2018, Nordic Brand Licensing Market visited Licensing Expo Japan in Tokyo, and organised a VIP-breakfast event at the Finnish Embassy there. In October 2018 Nordic Brand Licensing Market brought 12 companies to London, to pitch at the Finnish Ambassador's residence and exhibit at the NBLM booth at the Brand Licensing Europe expo.

Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) is Europe’s largest brand licensing event, bringing together 280 exhibitors and 7 500 visitors in 2017. AGMA has had its own booth at BLE since 2014, and over the years we have taken 20 Finnish companies there with us.
