KREAM Helsinki brings to us several brands they represent, foremost among them this year Onni-poika, a picture book series for small children by illustrator and author Sanna Pelliccioni. The ongoing series, already 14 books and branded products, including a soft toy, has a strong background in everyday life. Onni's colourful and warm character has captured the hearts of families also outside Finland, including in China.
Maarit Kontiainen is an artist with a lifelong fascination with nature and animals. Her whimsical and wintery art springs from her childhood and the atmosphere of rural countryside and forests. Maarit has held several art exhibitions around the world and products made with her art are sold in Finland, UK, USA, Germany and Japan.
Mimmit is a super entertaining children's brand with music, books, edutainment and folk tales. Everything from live concerts to animation and a live action TV show provides an engaging experience that is extremely popular in Finland, but has an audience already in over 40 countries around the world.
New Beat brings to us Outsider Art with Pertti's Choice, a cultural production space created by the famous punk band Pertti Kurikka's Nameday (Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät). Pertti's Choice is Finland's first social enterprise founded by disabled people.
