OPENING SPEECH: Kelvyn Gardner

LIMA UK

Kelvyn has been involved in the international licensing business for over thirty years. At the 2013 Licensing Awards in London, Kelvyn was presented with the Honorary Achievement Award for his work in licensing.  Since 2006 he has held the mantle of Managing Director of the UK division of LIMA, the Licensing Industry Merchandisers Association. Kelvyn is also a trustee of the Light Fund, the licensing industry's independent charity.

Tekes works with the top innovative companies and research units in Finland. Every year, Tekes finances some 1,500 business research and development projects. Sophia Jansson sees her work as looking after the legacy of the Moomintrolls left behind by her aunt Tove Jansson and her father Lars Jansson. Sophia is currently Creative Director in Moomin Characters Ltd, a company that has made the Moomins into a globally renowened brand. Moomin Characters was founded by Tove and Lars in the 1950’s.

Roleff Krokstöm is the managing director of Moomin Characters Ltd, founding partner of Rights & Brands Agency and Chairman of the board and member in several other companies. Roleff together with Sophia Jansson is heading the Moomin universe and licensing strategy.

Jan Salling currently serves also as Co-chairman of FRAPA, the international format industry association.

Rovio

Alex Lambeek is Rovio's Chief Commercial Officer and he leads the company's licensing and consumer products business. Alex brings to his role more than twenty years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, category management and general management. Prior to joining Rovio, Alex worked at Fox International Channels (21st Century Fox). Prior to that, Alex was CEO at Aora, a startup Indonesian Pay TV operator

Finlayson

Risto Voutilainen is one of the owners and COO of Finlayson, one of Scandinavia's oldest home textile companies, founded in 1820.  A textile giant in Finland, Finlayson has successfully extended their brand to the international markets through licensing.

Neogames

KooPee Hiltunen is the Director of Neogames Finland Association, Finnish Hub of Game Business, Research and Education. Among other things KooPee is also one of the founding fathers of EGDF (European Games Developer Federation) and NGI (Nordic Game Institute).

INDUSTRY EXPERT: Jan Neiiendam

Jan Neiiendam is the Chairman of the board at Nordic Licensing Company A/S (NLC), which represents licensing business in the Nordic Region and Benelux for Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Rovio, Mattel, HIT Entertainment, and top European football clubs. Jan has 20+ years of experience from international sales, marketing and product development and works daily as the Chairman of the board at Interactive Denmark, the Danish Hub of Game Business, Research and Education. His work also includes active roles as part of the board of EGDF (European Games Developer Federation) and NGI (Nordic Game Institute).

INDUSTRY EXPERT: Magnus Scheving

Magnus Scheving is a public speaker, motivator, athlete and successful entrepreneur. He created a world wide brand from scratch and sold it around the world. The TV series that he writes, directs and produces has been sold and to more than 170 countries, and has been broadcasted to over 500 million homes and won numerous awards, including a BAFTA and the US Telly Awards, as well as receiving twoEmmy award nominations among other accolades. Magnus is the creator and star of LazyTown, an entertainment brand dedicated to motivating children to make healthy choices. Magnus has made products, live shows, books and tv stations from the brand and worked with world leaders on campaigns, such as First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign in the US, With David Cameron on the Change 4 Life public health campaign, the European Commission and former president Felipe Calderón in Mexico and with First LadyCecila Morel in Chile on Elige Vivir Sano among others. In his speech he shares with the audience some great advice on key factors needed to build a succesfull  brand.

Timo Argillander is Managing Partner and Co-Founder at IPR.VC Management, a venture capital investor specializing in media content investments. With a new fund launched September 2015, Timo and his partners are funding early stage TV, film, animation, internet content and game producers that target international markets. Timo has a long background in media and tech industries as an entrepreneur, executive and management consultant.

Versity Music

Per Kviman is founder and CEO of  Versity Music, a Swedish artist management company .

Through  the 13 years of existence , Versity  has built a roster of 10 artists, ranging i genres  from black metal to pop. Many of  these has acts has been engaged in business to business deals set up by Versity.  These deals has been conducted with a  wide range of partners,, from film and gaming to commercials.

Per started out in the early eighties, setting up and running independent record label Wire Records and later MVG Records. Both labels breaked Swedish artist internationally. This was at a time before it was  common for Nordic artist succeeding  outside the domestic home market.

Kaiken Publishing

Laura Nevanlinna is the Publisher, CEO and Founder of Kaiken Publishing Ltd., an affiliate of Rovio Animation Company. Kaiken is a Creative Publishing & Content Agency handling all of Rovio's global book and magazine publishing activities regardless of platform. Previously the Head of Publishing at Rovio Entertainment, Ms. Nevanlinna has worked in educational and trade publishing as well as transmedia&digital for children and teens for over 15 years.

Lifestyle & Design Cluster

Betina Simonsen is the man. Director of Lifestyle & Design Cluster. Betina has a background in leading positions within the lifestyle industry, posts in the US, Japan and the UK, and as the head of education from the largest Scandinavian Design School. The Lifestyle & Design Cluster Denmark is a partnership between the public and regional institutions, industry organisations, universities and design schools and Danish lifestyle companies. Betina serves as board member and chairman in both public and private organisations.

Freelance journalist, presenter

Ella Kanninen is a known tv host and journalist in Finland, dividing her life between Helsinki and Tuscany. She is also an author of "Ellan Toscana", a book of Tuscan village life, released by publishing company Tammi, Bonnier Group, this year. Foreign languages are Ella's passion and she is fluent in Finnish, Swedish, Estonian, French, Italian and English.
